Vela Interiors (VI) was engaged as part of the wider design team to support the delivery of the furniture strategy for the new Fife College Dunfermline City Campus — a landmark educational development designed to meet Scotland’s Net Zero Public Sector Buildings Standard.
Working collaboratively with Fife College and appointed furniture suppliers, VI helped to develop and refine the space plans and furniture specification across the campus. Our role centred on understanding the client’s vision and translating it into a cohesive, functional, and enduring scheme that supports both staff and student needs.
Functionality, durability, and a strong sense of identity were key drivers in the selection of finishes and materials, ensuring that each space contributes to an inspiring and future-focused learning environment. Careful consideration was given to longevity — creating interiors that will remain timeless and adaptable as the college continues to evolve.
